The GOAL Foundation loves its locals and is very excited to roll out our brand new program for 2012!
Love For Locals is designed to do 3 things:
- Increase awareness and support of local charitable organizations
- Encourage attendance and participation at local events
- Get you into the Ogden Marathon!
Love for Locals is made possible by the generous donation of Marathon Entries from Intermountain McKay Dee Sports Medicine and the GOAL Foundation. Together, we hope to increase awareness and support of local charities, encourage attendance and participation at local events and of course, get you into the Ogden Marathon!
Each week for 12 weeks we will either be at an event or a local charity encouraging people to support, get involved and "Get Out And Live!" Watch the Ogden Marathon Facebook site for weekly details and updates or just check back here for our upcoming schedule. Those who attend or support the weekly campaign will be tracked and will have an opportunity to win. Each week will be treated as a new contest so it is possible to win multiple times throughout the Love For Locals campaign!

WEEK 1: Join us at Ogden's First Friday Art Stroll! Friday January 6th from 6pm until 8pm. An Ogden Marathon representative will be at Gallery 25 - 268 East 25th Street. Come on in and collect your "opportunity ticket" for your chance to win an Ogden Marathon entry. It's just this simple....enjoy the art for your chance to win! WEEK 2: St Annes Shelter - Make a small donation to St Annes Center Wednesday January 11th until Friday January 13th between 9am and 5pm. Be sure to ask for Dani and she will make sure your name is put into the raffle for the week! St Anne's Center provides meals for approximately 250 people in need per day. Additionally, St Anne's has 88 individual beds and 8 family rooms for those who need shelter for the evening. Come support St Anne's, your donation directly helps someone truly in need. WEEK 3: Christmas Box House - The Christmas Box House houses abused, abandoned and neglected children in their time of need. Go to their location on 12th Street near Monroe and make a small donation or just learn a little about their mission and you will be entered to win. Just ring their doorbell anytime Tuesday through Friday of the last week of January. Congratulations Joli Johanson!
Week 4: Weber Arts Council - February 4th from 4-7 pm. High Fashion, High Tea at the Weber Eccles Arts Center located on 2580 Jefferson Avenue. Come experience high fashion shopping like you've never seen! These are deals that you don't find every day. Full Details
Week 5: Dew Tour - Come up to Snowbasin February 9th - 12th anytime and visit GOAL at the Volunteer Check in area for your chance to win! The Dew Tour features top athletes in Superpipe and Slopestyle skiing and snowboarding....you don't want to miss this! Dew Tour info
Week 6: Ogden Mustangs Game during the Winter Games Reunion Event February 17th at the Ogden Ice Sheet. Come to Ogden Mustangs game and enjoy some hard hitting fun while cheering on Ogden's own premier hockey team! You don't need to stay to be eligible but we sure wouldn't want you to miss out on the fun! February 17th 5-9 at the Ogden ice Sheet. Look for the GOAL booth. At the game????Register Here!
