Join our Board

The GOAL Foundation is seeking applications from members of the Greater Ogden community to join our Board of Directors. GOAL is an acronym for “Get Out And Live!”

Mission & Vision

The GOAL Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Our mission is to inspire the Greater Ogden community and its visitors to "Get Out And Live!" by participating, volunteering and spectating at recreational and cultural events, programs and activities. We envision a Greater Ogden community that thrives economically and is healthier in mind, body, and spirit.

GOAL’s vision is to support the Greater Ogden community's vision to be recognized as an outdoor recreation mecca, by producing unparalleled athletic events and by collaborating with other organizations in bringing athletically oriented events to the Ogden area. GOAL will, in all its activities, strive to engage the community, local business and relevant government agencies in outcomes that bring a sense of pride and belonging to all those involved.

The Foundation is looking for mission-aligned individuals who value the power of volunteerism and have time to be involved in shaping the future of the organization along with a commitment to DEI, and expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Insurance/Legal
  • Outdoor/Recreation Professions
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • People and Culture
  • Youth Programming/K-12 Education

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We know that to achieve our goals, fulfill our mission, and realize our vision, we need to include individuals with perspectives drawn from a wide range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds, skill sets, areas of expertise, and lived experiences to help us avoid decision-making that could diminish the impact of our work.

We are publicly recruiting for board positions to ensure that we move beyond our immediate networks and honor our ongoing commitment to creating a board that is diverse in its composition, inclusive in its culture, and equity-focused in its approach to how it views its mission, its work, and the communities it serves.
